I'm on the home stretch with a Doctor Who scarf for my niece, the lace cardigan for me is on a Time Out because I have to undo a 3-needle bind-off, and I have 2 MKALs in mid-project with the 3rd of the series starting in mid-June.
Mostly I knit. Granny square afghans are my fall-back for quick baby shower gifts but my crochet skills don't go any farther than that right now.
That would be Laura Nelkin's Clarus beaded shawl. I figured out lace AND beading with that one. Plus, it's bright red and sparkly!
I learned to crochet in elementary school, and to knit in 2005.
Grandma knitted, and I have the last two projects she made for me.
You know that stereotype of the knitter, not the Grandmother, the other one: spinster lady of a certain age, living alone with her books, her knitting and her cat? That's me. Mind, I also build websites for fun and indulge in Living History.
