I'm a Brooklyn boy, born and raised. I've visited many countries to include Israel which I visited on two occasions. My parents spoke yiddish but only when they didn't want me to understand what they were saying. I never knew my grandparents.

What Paul A. M. is saying about this Meetup Group

Yiddish is a combination of many Eastern Eurpean languages to include German, Dutch, Polish, Russian and other languages. It's a composite of languages used over 100 years ago in lower New York City when all these people came together. You will like our team leader Elizabeth who has a zestful approach to the language and is interesting to speak with. Paul Mandel
