The intent of this meetup group is to promote yoga practice in alternative spaces as well as building enthusiasm and connections with the local yoga community. The organizers are teachers at Akasha Studio in Jamaica Plain.
About Forrest Yoga;
Strengthen your core through carefully designed postures that work to support your abdominals, hips, back, shoulders, upper body, legs, and more. Open to all levels, each class begins with a breathing exercise (pranayama). Then moves into some abdominal work and additional postures to open and brighten body and spirit. This practice is great for working with an injury as well as pre and post-natal students. Pregnant women will be given modified postures during abdominals.
