A flowing yoga class with live music and a vegetarian meal. Classes are led by one of our wonderful Red Pearl Yoga Teachers or a special guest instructor and will be geared to accommodate all levels. Live music by Sapopaz
(Russell Mamorsky), and friends, and a delicious light vegetarian meal. This twice-monthly event supports the historic Bates Garden Club, and the Park, local musicians and teachers and burgeoning chefs, while providing you with a beautiful mini retreat to end-- or to begin your week.
Where and When:
Every first and third Sunday , 2:30-4:30pm, Rain or Shine. Inside the historic Glen F. Bates Garden Clubhouse, hidden amongst the trees of Birch State Park
on Fort Lauderdale Beach, 3108 E Sunrise Boulevard, 33304 Though indoors,
it will feel like outdoors due to the vaulted wood ceiling,windows galore, and surrounding gardens and greenhouse; It is at once rustic and regal. Come early and explore the Park
and enjoy the beach. There is beach tunnel access from the Park . Park closes at 5pm. or at Sunset- whenever that is-it varies. Check the sign when you enter park.. What to Bring:
This is a carry in/carry out event so please bring your own Yoga mat, bowl, utensils, and beverage.
We do not supply them, and that is part of how we are able to do this for only $20!
We can always use volunteers to help us set up and run the event. If you would like to assist one week, please email us ahead of time and if we can use your services, we will contact you.
Pricing: $20 -cash only- at the door.
Also, $2 per head at the gate for the park. Say "garden clubhouse" to get the deal.
Parking: This is a busy beachside park, so arrive early. Sometimes the lots are crowded and you may have to drive around a bit or walk further than you planned.
Please allow ample time. Carpool or bike if you can. Enjoy the journey.
We are also seeking creative, solid cook/chef, who desires to please a crowd with delicious vegetarian fare. You will have a budget for food and the potential to make more as we grow this event.
