Here is the class I am teaching, at 1am Sunday.

1 am – Raja Yoga with Steve Davis, RYT, LMT, NCTMB

Raja Yoga is the Classic Yoga of Patanjali, the 8 – Limbed Royal Path of Yoga.

We will explore the mysteries of the deep night with high awareness, including the Yoga of Sound (Nada Yoga), to open into Pure Love (Prema), the Present Moment, and awareness of all the Chakras, including the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha), Heart Chakra (Anahata), the Sixth Chakra (Ajna), and the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara).

Kaivalya, (Absolute Freedom) is the highest goal of Yoga. Enlightenment, including Knowledge, Healing, and Power (Siddhi) flows from Pure Love (Prema).

who we are

Sisters 4 Survivors is a nonprofit organization based in Portland, Oregon. Our group was created to help and inspire those facing the challenges of breast cancer.

Our mission is to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in our local community, to help women with breast cancer feel better about themselves throughout their journey, and to empower women from diagnosis and beyond by serving as a resource for knowledge and services that support healing and confidence.

We empower women by providing unique support, image and alternative health services that support their journey of healing and provide knowledge to improve their overall health.

A breast cancer diagnosis is life-changing, but services like having a “sister” advocate, peer-to-peer support, acupuncture, massage, naturopathic medicine, nutrition, counseling, physical training, makeovers, head-shaving parties and more can be powerful complements to recovery and ongoing wellness. Our services help women look and feel more like their fabulous, beautiful, unstoppable selves.

Women need more than just surgery, chemotherapy and radiation to heal and survive…they need solutions to these challenges to heal all aspects of themselves that are affected with a diagnosis of breast cancer!

Our goal is to assist with the “everything else” in the process of healing to better their journey and quality of life!



Breast cancer touches the lives of almost every person in some form or another.

1 out of 8 women today get breast cancer.

Oregon is ranked 8th in the nation for breast cancer incidence. In 2009, Oregon had the 2nd highest incidence of breast cancer in the US.

Approximately 2775 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in Oregon in 2010.

Each week in Oregon 53 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and 10 will die from the disease.

Early detection is the key to surviving breast cancer. When breast cancer is diagnosed at its earliest stages, the five-year survival rate is over 98%. With metastatic breast cancer, the survival rate is 23%.

85% of all women diagnosed with breast cancer DO NOT have a family history.

Breast cancer is the leading cancer among American women and second only to lung cancer in cancer deaths.

More than two million women currently living in the U.S. have been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer.

More and more women are getting breast cancer at an earlier age. The rate of women getting cancer under the age 45 has risen substantially over the last 30 years.
