29 April to 2 May - Lake District

Join us for a long weekend in the breathtaking Lake District for great yoga, hiking and delicious vegetarian food.

We will be staying at Nab Cottage, a beautiful lakeside guest house on Rydal Water in the centre of the English Lake District. The venue is idyllic; set in the heart of a valley, surrounded by mountains yet only 2 miles from the villages of Ambleside and Grasmere.

The cottage dates from 1556 and the twin bedrooms are cosy with beautiful views across the lake or up the fell. Downstairs is a sitting room with log fire, dining room with computer and piano, and a TV room. The yoga classes will be held in the beautifully converted barn next door to Nab Cottage and a small wood burning sauna is available to sooth those well used muscles!

The weekend is £235 per person and includes:
· 3 nights accommodation in shared, twin rooms
· 5 Yoga classes (morning and evening) with Sam
· All meals - home cooked, vegetarian and organic where possible
· 2 Guided hikes
* Transport costs are not included.

A beautiful and fun filled weekend, thank you Sam and Jason and the whole group for making it an awesome meetup. Detox starts tomorrow! :)

Absolutely the best active weekend I have had. Lovely company, amazing yoga and hiking guide by Samantha and Jason - I love how they listened to what we need but also challenged us to learn new things while still maintaining a great sense of fun, lightness and compassion. (Being someone who's been to making yoga workshop-ish stuff, I am positive that this is a rare combination!) Recommend most highly. But I should have probably kept this to myself just to make sure I will be able to get onto the next one...

A weekend of complete excess - food (specifically dessert), sleep and fresh air. We also did some yoga and some hiking ;) Thanks again to Sam & Jason for bringing along the sunshine ...

    April 17, 2011

  • Karin

I will be on the train getting into Windermere at 16.48 if anyone wants to meet up at that end?

    April 6, 2011

  • Satyan D.

Hi, just booked the train tickets as well. It's seems to be easier to get there by train and the cost is similar...

    April 6, 2011

  • Peter

I just heard a place opened up. I would like to go.

    March 30, 2011

  • Eugenia

Hi - I'm super excited to be going (a place freed up). I'll be traveling from London by train if anyone wants to meet at the station before hand. I haven't purchased my tickets yet so if there is a free space in a car I'd be happy to chip in as well (can't drive though).

    March 30, 2011

  • Peter

Hi Milla, I would like to buy your place.

    March 29, 2011

  • Milla

Unfortunately something else has come up, so I won't be able to make this. If anyone wants to buy my place, please email me.

    March 28, 2011

  • Cathy

    Hiya,

I have went a head and booked the train tickets, knowing that there are quite of few of us anyway and it might be hard to fit everyone into one car. Whatever you guys decide wish you a nice journey to the lake district!

    Hello!

I can drive if we're still up for it. However, would be nice if we could be 2 driver's. I am sure there are other places where the depot is open 24 hrs...I can investigate if we can find an additional driver ;-)....(who preferrably drives on the right side of the road ;-)..

    March 22, 2011

  • Cathy

Nice one Erika, I checked, too, it's £90 round-trip by train.
For minivan rental, I just checked on sixt it's about £90/day, so for 4 days it'd be £400+ maybe an additional one-day cost because the pick-up center would be closed by the day we come back on the bank holiday.

Maybe it's actually easier (possibly cheaper and less coorindation work) if we just travel by train?

    March 22, 2011

  • Eri

I can only drive on the other side of the road :-) but I think it's a good idea to rent a minibus if we will find a driver. I just checked the ticket price from London to Windermere. It would be around £90 if we would travel by train.

    March 22, 2011

  • Basia

Great to see so much interest in transport options. confession time, I don't actually drive either, but like Cathy Ma happy to chip in with costs etc. Is a mini bus an option, does anyone know how to organise this?

    March 22, 2011

  • Eugenia

just got an email that a spot opened up! I'd interested - please let me know how to reserve my spot. Eugenia

    March 21, 2011

  • Milla

I'm afraid I only drive on the right side. I'm a mean navigator though.... beat any sat nav when it comes to country lanes ;-)

    March 21, 2011

  • Satyan D.

Why not make it a minibus...I have a car but am not so keen on driving on my own....

    March 21, 2011

  • Cathy

Hi Basia and fella yogis - I'm travelling from London as well. Let's make it 5? I can't drive though. If someone is willing to drive, I would be more than happy to chip in the cost and throw in some extra brownies!

    Thanks!

    March 21, 2011

  • Basia
