Hello my people,

I know it's kinda early, but does anyone plan to throw a nice Holiday party? Or heard of any upcoming parties? I've seen a few other meetups scheduling theirs already and just thought I'd ask...

I'm also interested in pulling together a holiday party. If enough folks are interested in pulling something together, we'll need to first find a venue (or someone would have to volunteer a place) and a date (I understand that folks may be leaving town or heading to other holiday parties, so this one may be a bit of a minefield).

Thoughts?

A thanksgiving potluck would be nice too! ;)

I'm down for a potluck or whatever! I'd say either the second or third weekend in Dec would be great for a Xmas party. People will probably be traveling over the last two weekends, at least I know I will. But I'm interested in helping out. Thanks!

Hey! Has there been any updates for a Thanksgiving potluck? If not, I'm down for a good dinner at a restaurant if no one really feels like cooking.

I haven't heard anything for Thanksgiving, but I'm up for something. If we get enough people maybe someone can host and we can have it catered by Boston Market. It would be about $10 per person if we get 10 people. If not I can do a restaurant.

I found two places that have really tasty menu choices for Thanksgiving... and they are buffet style so you can eat just as if you were at home with family.

First place is Miss Pearl's Jam House (which I love) for $48. The buffet may be a bit pricey but there is plenty of options and endless mimosas/bloody mary's are included in the price. Plus it is in Oakland so pretty centrally located for everyone to meet.

Second Place is 750 Restaurant & Bar for $25. This is also a buffet, but it is a lunch buffet from 11:30a-1:30p. It is also located inside the Hilton off Kearny in San Francisco. That's just about 5 mins away from Fishermans Wharf. Note: FREE valet parking during the 2hrs the buffet is in session. You hardly ever see free parking in the city.

I'm down for either one. I just need to make sure I make it somewhere for a delicious Thanksgiving meal!
