The ALS Association – DC/MD/VA Chapter is looking for volunteers for the 11th Annual Crystal Ball for a Cure to be held on Friday, October 26th in Virginia Beach at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art.
Volunteers are requested from 6pm-12:30am and will help with registration, silent auction, live auction, “trick or treat”, auction check-out, and event clean up. We are looking for 20 – 30 volunteers to help with this event.
We are looking for volunteers who are hard- working and willing to have a good time as well. The event will run until about 1am and appropriate Halloween costumes are optional but encouraged. Groups are welcome to volunteer!
The money that is raised is split between the ALS Association (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a fatal disease that leads to an inability of people living with ALS (PALS) to speak, move, and eventually breathe on their own. The incidence of ALS is five times higher than Huntington’s disease, and about equal to that of multiple sclerosis. Donations from the Crystal Ball will go directly to helping to find a cure for this disease and assisting PALS in maintaining their quality of life.
Please join us as a volunteer at this spooktacular event and help fight ALS and MD!
If you are interested please message me or give me a call at 301-978-9855 ext. 207.
