I came to Ann Arbor for grad school and decided to stick around after graduating. I've lived in places bigger and smaller than A2 and have found this is a good fit for me.
I spend a lot of time on the phone. And, since I'm often working from a coffee shop, I spend a lot of time and energy trying to mask the wide variety of background noises one finds there...
It might sound cheesy, but I really believe in the work I do with veterans and their families. I'm inspired and interested by what I do every day. And - more selfishly - I work from home/coffee shops/wherever the day takes me. I have the flexibility to travel and make my own schedule. I don't know how I'll ever go back to an office environment - hoping I never have to!
I work for a national non-profit (Volunteers of America).
I work to expand programs for veterans and their families in communities across the country.
I'm a southern transplant (originally from Louisiana) now living and working in Ann Arbor after finishing grad school at U of M. I work remotely (and thus have no onsite coworkers), so I'm hoping to meet some other young professionals in the area!
