New Meetup Group: EV Detroit!

Hello Ann Arbor Young Professionals!

In addition to bringing together local young professionals to network, make friends, and share ideas, I've recently started a new meetup group for Electric Vehicle Enthusiasts... EV Detroit:

Electric Vehicle technologies have recently become a passion of mine, and I thought what better a way to find others with the same interests than by starting a meetup group! After all, with all of the automotive talent right here in the Greater Detroit area, there must be a few people out there who have seen the writing on the wall...

The basic technology that drives most automobiles today, the internal combustion engine (ICE), is well over a century old and is an inefficient beast. Not only is the ICE dying, but so is the transportation industry as we know it. Fuel prices, environmental concerns, and global economics have turned even the largest automotive companies upside down.

Electric powertrains, on the other hand, are much more efficient, they release virtually no pollutants into the atmosphere, they are very simple, and pound for pound, they provide superior performance.

If you're interested in getting together with other Electric Vehicle enthusiasts to network, learn, and share ideas about up-and-coming vehicles, their supporting technologies, and other EV industry topics, then check out the new EV Detroit meetup group.

Thanks, and have a great weekend!
