Beach Day: at the Low-Tide Pool!

Come experience an outing at the beach in a whole new way, at the Low-Tide Pool in Seattle.  The approximate lowest water point is at 11:58am, so please plan to be there at 11:30am.  You are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you, as there is an area for picnicking at Me-Kwa-Mooks Park, which is across the street. When:  Tuesday, May 8th, at 11:30am. Where:  Emma Schmitz Memorial Overlook.                                                                                    Address: 4503 Beach Dr. SW, Seattle, WA. Parking:  Free street parking is available next to the Emma Schmitz  Memorial Overlook, and next to Me-Kwa-Mooks Park located across the street. What to expect:  Below Emma Schemitz Overlook, is a rocky beach that is accessible during low-tide.  The Tidepools in this area are rich in impets, lumpsuckers, hermit crabs, sea-stars, sea slugs, sea cucumbers, sea anemones, seaweed, kelp, and much more. Warning:  Please note that this is a rocky beach!  Good shoes for navigating with care are recommended.  Everyone is responsible for their own safety!
