Your Stage celebrates the end of a 4.5 year journey on June 27

On June 27 we celebrate as our four and a half year journey comes to an end.

With so much going on in my own business and some major changes in Bob's life, we will simply not be able to maintain Your Stage after our June 27th session.

Our session on June 27 will be our final session of Your Stage.  Although Bob will be on his honeymoon, we do hope you'll celebrate with us one final time before the curtain falls.

My co-host for the final event will be New York Times Best Selling Author, Peggy McColl!

We have two special guest speakers from out of town to wrap up Your Stage:

Brain trauma survivor Sharon Campbell Raymond will be presenting: "Falling into the Rhythm of Life - How a Brain Injury Changed My Life"

This is truly an amazing and inspiring story of how a brain injury can change one's life in ways you might never expect!

Super athlete and runner of 11 half marathons in the year 2011, Gretchen Schoenstein will be presenting: "Winning the Race of Your Life"

In this presentation Gretchen will share how we can build upon each accomplishment, how to overcome challenges, properly condition ourselves for success and propel ourselves to the next level.

This is going to be a tremendous end to the Your Stage journey!  Then...it will be time to dim the spotlight, drop the curtain and lock the door on the way out.

I sure hope you'll join us in the spotlight one last time at Your Stage on June 27.

See you there!

It was a wonderful last event. Really enjoyed being part of the celebration at the end with Ross Cowan, Chipo Chambare and everyone else. I can't believe I have attended every event, certainly going to miss going every month.
Steve and Bob, you are awesome! Looking forward to whatever happens in the future.

  • Jacqueline R.

I was wonderful and saddening that this was the official last event for a gathering of extraordinary individuals that choose to meet one place every month.

    4 · June 29, 2014

    • Anil A.

Jacqueline, may this event have been just a graduating event... graduating to Your Stage 2.0 (as Jim Moran puts it). Long live Your Stage!

  • Susan E.

Thank you so much Steve Lowell and Bob Carcassden for another job well. Enjoyed running into old friends and new. The speakers were phenomenal. Going to miss YourStage. Cannot wait for the new installment

    3 · June 29, 2014

    • Anil A.

"... new installment." You are an optimist, Susan. Thinking in terms of Your Stage 2.0 as Jim Moran puts it? Yeah, let us keep Your Stage alive.

Penny Lee, you've been at the inception, and at the final (nay, graduation) event. Your Stage has given us a lot. It has put each one of us in the spotlight of our own endeavor.

  • Caroline M.

Thank you again Steve and Bob for all you've done to make Your Stage our stage. Wayne Pagani so eloquently shared the value you have brought to all of us who attended. As Jim Healey said this morning - we treasure all the gifts we've received and the wonderful connections we've made at Your Stage. It was so good to see so many people we haven't seen in a while as well as some new people who experienced your genius for the first time. Happy new beginnings and looking forward to the semi annual Your Stage reunions. In the meantime as John Heney says remember to bring the Your Stage community with you wherever you go.

    1 · June 27, 2014

    • Anil A.

"... genius!" Yes, that's the best one-word description of the magic that Steve does on the stage, Caroline.

      June 29, 2014

  • Daniel R.

Great to see everybody this morning! Have a great summer!

Again thank you Steve & Bob for the powerful platform you gave us. Bob we missed your physical presence but we know you were here with us in spirit. I want to thank all for contributing to the gift to these 2 wonderful creators of the place we learned a lot, grew, networked and made friendships. Thank you all. Till we meet again at the next stage of YourStage. Chipo

    2 · June 27, 2014

Let us not take it as the end of Your Stage, David. Your Stage might very well morph into something bigger and better, may be Your Stage 2.0 as Jim Moran puts it.

Bittersweet morning. Steve kept it true to form delivering his wonderful nuggets of wisdom and working his magic with new speakers, refining their talks into works of art before our eyes. Everyone there, the Your Stage family, poured out their appreciation for all that has transpired over the 4.5 years. So much gratitude. Like others, I look forward to the promised "reunions".

    1 · June 28, 2014

    • Anil A.

"... refining their talks into works of art..." That's a beautiful way of describing what Steve does with such dexterity and precision. I like the way you have expressed it, Pat.

I may have missed a lot of YourStage due to travel, but always felt comfort knowing that Steve, Bob and the group were there when I could make it. For me there has never been a networking group like this in Ottawa with such positive energy, sincere leadership, fun and sense of community. I thank Steve, Bob and everyone in the group for the wonderful experiences, memories and wisdom gained both professionally and personally. I wish Steve, Bob and all the members continued health, success and happiness!!

Your Stage 2.0. What a wonderful idea for "what next?" for Your Stage.

[masked] The Final Event! What a show it was!! Moving, motivational and inspirational speeches by Rachel and Nancy. Wow!

Peggy McColl's inspiriting speech showed with her own example of how we can transform our idea or message into a book and an online offering to make a difference in peoples' lives and our own.

Bob came on Skype from a far away place, and in his usual calm style, greeted all the Your Stagers. Thanks, Bob.

Steve Lowell, the master speaker and motivator gave three secrets to success on stage, and inspired us all. Long live, Steve! And, last and the most, the audience sang a beautiful song "Your Stage was made for YOU and Me!" as a tribute to both Steve and Bob. What a poignant moment it was to bid good bye to Your St. Let Your Stage remain alive online. Let us all play an active part in it. Steve thought it was a great idea. Let's all chip in ideas to enlist everyone.

Bye, all Your Stagers! We had fun, learning and making friends these 4.5 years. Didn't we?

Steve and Bob, This year and last Fall I attended some half dozen Your Stage meetings. I learned a lot and only due to personal commitments have I not attended more. I therefore appreciate that you both bring the curtain down on your successful run with YS. I have enjoyed several ongoing connections with individuals whom I initially met at YS meetings; I still meet them in other networking activities. I wish you both much success and enjoyment in your ongoing efforts

So many happy memories...including your encouragement to put me on Your Stage which my husband affectionaly calls My Stage... so many amazing learnings and wonderful connections. Yes, I will attend the final event on the 27th. Your Stage has been quite a show for 4 and 1/2 years. It has definitely touched many many lives, aroused love for public speaking, and generated a widespread awareness of personal potential inherent in each one of us. Hats off to Bob and Steve to relentlessly devote time and enormous effort to keep the Your Stage going. I dare say Your Stage has made a huge difference in the Ottawa community. Wish you all the best, dear Steve in your business endeavour, and wish you all the best, dear Bob in your life as you both embark on bigger and better pursuits!
