As most of you know I have recently purchased IdeaZone.ca from my good friend, and previous employer, Paul Holmes.
The last few months have been extremely busy between re-positioning, re-branding and actually getting development work done. Getting this Meetup up and running again has been top of mind lately and, judging from the amount of email requests that have been coming in, there certainly is a lot of interest from the members.
John Overall and I have met today to discuss co-organizing these meetings and we plan to start up again the second week of April.
John has always been one of Victoria's favourite speakers and WordPress educators so I am thrilled that he wants to be involved and help move this forward.
At the last Meetup, it was clear that members were unhappy with the location of the venue. We are currently looking at a number of more centralized options and are open to suggestions.
We will be asking for a small attendance fee to cover the cost of the venue with any surplus being donated to the Victoria Cool Aid Society.
IdeaZone.ca, with the support and promotion of the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will be starting a series of lunch time presentations in Sidney so look out for more information on those as well.
Best Regards... and I am looking forward to seeing you all again
