Please come wearing loose, comfortable clothing and try to arrive five minutes before seven the first time you come so you can meet our teacher and learn how we do meditation in our Rinzai Zen tradition. ]
If you have never done meditation before, Friday night is the best sit to attend as it is two twenty-five minute sits with walking meditation in between. Wednesday night is three sits and if that's the only night you can attend, please come anyway. You can stand up, stretch your legs or quiety leave the room in between sits. We have a short tea ceremony at the end which is also done in silence and is a lovely way to finish our sit. Our teacher, Kurt, would really enjoy hearing from you how your experience was after the sit is over.
