Nick Warren & Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West) + RJ Pickens @ Sound-Bar [9/21]

Well guys two legends are in the house!! I hear SoundBar upgraded their sound system so hopefully the crowd is enjoyable. RJ Pickens will be providing solid opening support to keep things on the deep end.

Biography of Nick Warren

All this history has been eclipsed by Nick’s present: Nick continues to DJ every weekend all over the globe, whilst also maintaining Hope Recording's high quality output in his role as head of A&R. Nick’s DJ career spans two decades and is driven by a continual desire to evolve and change while searching out the new cutting edge producers from all corners of the world, in many cases long before they become established. This is no better represented than in the continuing bi-monthly radio show "Soundgarden" on Friskyradio which attracts over 150,000 unique tune-ins to each airing and his Delta FM show in Argentina. He is also a regular contributor for John Digweed’s "Transitions" show.

In 2011, Nick released the highly acclaimed "Balance 018", one of the highest selling in the series, receiving high praise from fans and media alike.  Plus, the incredible single "Buenos Aires" became the 100th release on his beloved label, Hope Recordings in May. 2012 looks like another great year for Nick, with various solo releases planned and he is heading into the studio with Jody Wisternoff to work on the new Way Out West album.

Biography of Jody WisternoffAlthough now putting the finishing touches to his long awaited debut solo album, it was back in 1986 that Wisternoff first put his stamp on the music world aged just 13 when he reached the finals of the DMC World DJ Championship and then 2 years later as one-half of Tru Funk, a hip hop/dance outfit with his younger brother Sam, who is now performing under the name SJ Esau. After those days of innocence and his first forays in to music, Wisternoff became an unknowing pioneer in the rave scene as a member of Sub Love (with DJ Die) and Way Out West, his beloved tag team with Nick Warren. "[The> Sub Love days were fun because I was so young and the rave scene was in full swing," he says with admiration and a certain sense of nostalgia. For hardened fans of dance music, who remember fondly the opening salvo Montana, it may be a little scary to think it's been 18 years since Way Out West first emerged. The milestone isn't lost on Jody either. "The early 90s rave era in the UK was unbelievable and was on a crazy scale. Pretty much all the young people in the country were into it. The pop charts' top 10 was all dance music. [It's] amazing if you think about it now." Fast forward to the present day though and despite having four successful albums under his belt as Way Out West, Wisternoff shows no signs of complacency. He is constantly evolving his sound with new tracks and showcasing fresh and experimental electronic music on his Frisky and Proton Radio shows every month. He has released solo singles on Ministry of Sound, Anjunadeep and Disitnctive, with which he achieved the much coveted 'Beatport Number 1' with his track 'Cold Drink, Hot Girl'. Wisternoff spends much time touring all over the world, especially in Eastern Europe, calling it one of his "strongest territories right now….[but] it's an issue of juggling family life with music at the moment, as I have two kids now," he tells us, living what he calls "a really nice balanced life," things have come full circle for this cheeky kid.

hello there! yes, all of our sound components at sound-bar, including drivers and amplifiers, have been upgraded and replaced, along with the addition of 6 loud subwoofers with VOID components that are strategically placed in the center of the dance floor. Along with these changes, we also added 900 sq ft of Linacoustic fiber glass foam panels around the dance floor, which makes the sound so clear and warm, that you will find it is the best it has sounded in it's entire 9 1/2 year run. We anticipate this to be a large event, as we've had table reservations come in from Ohio, Florida, Missouri, and Canada, and had numerous ticket sales to people in DC and Michigan, and even Chicago as Jody and Nick haven't played together in Chicago in nearly a decade.
