December Clojure meetup

Update:

Ivan has booked a room for us! We will meet at local.ch. See you there!

Christmas is approaching, and this time Santa has wrapped some Clojure goodness for all of us!

At the December meetup we will meet and hack on different Clojure projects. The plan is to meet up, list the projects you are interested in and find partners to work with for the evening.

This is a great opportunity for learning how to actually get things done in Clojure, and to meet people with similar interests.

So, if you have any ideas for projects to hack on, please add them to the comments section of this meetup. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

See you there!

P.S.: The location is still pending. We are hoping to be able to get a room at ETH again. If you have any other suggestions, they are more than welcome.

Ah, these things happen. I hope you'll be able to make it next time! We had a great time hacking around, and I'm sure we'll start some new and interesting projects next time.

People did some really interesting projects. Of course, it was easier to hear what was going on with the Overtone guys, but there was conversations going on all around.

I struck out with my contact for ETH on booking a room.

I can help people setup the Counterclockwise plugin for Clojure development in Eclipse (not that there's much to do).

I intend to try out Sublime 2 for Clojure and I have Light Table as yet another alternative.

I better start out myself: I have some experience doing RESTy things, but I would very much like to get better at it. In particular, I think "liberator" looks very interesting, but I haven't looked that much into it. My evening project would be to create a REST service for keeping track of bowling scores and players, with JSON, HTML and plain-text representations of the states.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
