How to Be a Digital Specialist, with Lindsay Ratcliffe

We are incredibly excited to be able to share details of our May event where we will be meeting a panel of fabulous women who have specialist digital roles.

Anne Simmons ( ) is a software engineer and lead consultant at Thoughtworks where she has spent the last 8 years taking on increasingly senior roles, leading teams and coaching other developers. Anne is now looking after building both organisational and individual capabilities for ThoughtWorks' future capabilities.

She’ll be joined by marketing specialist Kate Rossiter ( ) who has worked on both sides of the fence - agency and client. She’s now Marketing Controller for Entertainment Marketing Strategy & Planning at Sky where she manages the annual media strategy and spend, overall messaging lay-down and priorities, through to campaign performance.

We’re also so pleased to have Jo Holdaway ( ) the Chief Data Officer at ESI Media and chairman on the Association of Online Publishers joining the panel. She has worked in media since the 90s. Formerly Digital Commercial Director for the Independent she has since been focused on the formulation and delivery of a business-wide data strategy for ESI.

Kirsta Griggs ( ) is the Chief Architect at Leidos (previously Lockheed Martin) where she provides thought-leadership, oversight and support to the engineering department and Defence and Intelligence business, as well as delivering various programmes and proposals as an architect or chief engineer. She specialises in large government programmes including Lead Architect for European Defence IT Modernisation proposal and Chief Architect for Guardian proposal, shaping the capture strategy and overall solution for air command and control capability to meet requirements, timescales and cost.

And of course an opportunity to meet Lindsay Ratcliffe ( ), winner of the 10 Digital Digital Specialist Award. Lindsay believes life is too short for bad experiences and has dedicated her time and energies throughout her career to improving the experiences of customers across a huge range of industries including financial services, television, government, telecoms, utilities and manufacturing. She’s the author of Agile Experience Design ( ), a first-to-market book that demonstrates how experience design combined with agile and lean methods can be can a strategic differentiator.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

It has been a real pleasure meeting you all. Many thanks for providing this "save" space where we can share all our experiences. It is strangely relieving knowing that almost all of us are dealing with the same doubts and challenges. Thank you. Marisa
