10 Digital Ladies and our 2018 Portfolio Award winner Lidia Oshlyansky (who is Design Lead - Growth Opportunities at Spotify) are hosting an event on November 22nd to discuss the perennial issue of work/life balance or blend.

This event is for anyone trying to manage to develop their career or business, but who also wants to try to find time to look after themselves and spend quality time with friends and family - whether this be children, partners or relatives.

Lidia will also be joined by Melanie Yencken, Director of UX at Patsnap, leading product design teams across the UK and China. She is a champion of UX and women in digital and was awarded ‘Young Design Leader of the Year’ last year. In her spare time, Melanie is also the founder and coordinator of LondonTechLadies, a women’s network with 2500+ members.

Our third panellist Amanda Jones Floyd is a digital product leader with over 15 years experience. She is a non-executive director, active angel investor and mentor to startup founders providing operational support to growing product teams. From January 2019 she will be the Product Lead - Premium at Spotify. She has a BSc from Stanford and MBA from INSEAD and currently lives in London with her husband and 2 daughters. Together, we will be tackling the following questions and more:

1. Is there a useful mindset to approach work/life balance with, bearing in mind it's often a constantly changing state and its normalcy to feeling unbalanced on a regular basis..?
2. Why is it that work/life balance is often only discussed when it comes to women with children - when its just as important for anyone trying to manage their own health and perhaps caring for others such as ageing relatives?
3. Can, and should women blaze a trail for men when it comes to work/life blend conversations and changes in the workplace? What might this look like?

Spotify are kindly hosting this event - attendees can expect a goody bag full of Spotify gifts!
