Backcountry Pilot gathering at Johnson Creek, ID (3U2)

The premier fly-in for the back country crowd. Mountain flying experience is STRONGLY recommended. This is not just a Super Cub event, more than a few 172's and 182 have been known to show up. There is always at least one Mooney in attendance.

Come camp out and just chill or try your luck with the hard core back country crowd and fly to local mountains strips. There is a potlock on Saturday night and a breakfast flyout on Sunday morning.

    The runway itself is grass and in very good condition. It's 3400 feet long by 150 wide. The approach is the tricky part. There really is not good go-around at this airport so you have to nail it the first time.

    I've never attended this event so I'm looking forward to going this year. I will be heading up there on the 26th if anyone else decides to come and wants to convoy.
