To celebrate spring migration, Orange Audubon Society (OAS) is hosting bird walks at Mead Botanical Garden, 1500 S. Denning Drive, Winter Park on Saturdays, April 6, 13, 20, & 27, 2019. To entice people to experience the pleasures of birding and become aware of this great location in Winter Park, the walks are free and open to the public with no registration needed. The walks start at 8:00 a.m. and will last 2 to 3 hours. The pace will be slow with lots of stopping to look at birds and will cover as much of the park as possible. Loaner binoculars will be available. If you need to borrow a pair, please arrive a little early to sign them out and to be shown how to use them for the most enjoyable experience. For information, contact OAS-Mead Liaison Larry Martin at (407) 647- 5834 (in advance, not day of walk) or [masked].
