Tomato Battle & Beer Fest!

For the best price on tickets (just $25), be sure to buythem from our friends at Rush49.com, a local event & deal site that is offering them at a big discount.

Hey 20/30 Somethings, we’re always on the lookout for unusual events where we can all get to know each other and have a blast, and we found one that sounds too zany to pass up: The Tomato Battle & Beer Fest on May 26th at the Texas State Fair Park in Dallas.

Live music, beer, a couple thousand partiers and a couple hundred thousand pounds of overripe, juicy tomatoes in an all out tomato fight.

Let’s meet up, have a few drinks, listen to music and then brain each other with mushy, gushy tomatoes. The beer garden opens up at Noon, the live entertainment starts at 1PM and the Tomato Battle starts at 4PM, so we can make a whole day out of it.

About the Tomato Battle:

The Tomato Battle unifies as many as 5,000 fruit-chucking fanatics for an afternoon of dancing to music, sipping libations, and flinging 300,000 pounds of roma tomatoes at one another. Mosh in a ketchup-covered fray that marries the traditions of Spain’s La Tomatina tomato-throwing festival and Germany’s Oktoberfest.

Let’s face it, the tomato is a versatile fruit. Its sweet and juicy nature can be used to enhance various entrees, stain the shirts of bad comedians and confuse the general public regarding its status on the food pyramid (yes, it's a fruit). What better way to embrace the beauty of this mushy, baseball-sized food than to hurl them at strangers while getting pelted and listening to live music and drinking beer?

    Hey All.
The best place to meet would be at the Fair Park Station on Parry and Expo. Meet there and then you can all walk over to the event together.

Right. Rush49 is offering a deal on the tickets. Still deciding on the best staging point for the event. there is a train station right by the venue. that is an idea. stay tuned
