  • Feb 4, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We are a group of enthusiastic, beginner friendly climbers meeting at the NE Circuit Bouldering gym every Tuesday evening.

"But I've never climbed before.  Can I join?"  Absolutely!  All levels of experience are welcome. If you are new to the sport wear comfortable clothing (think yoga). More experienced members would be happy to share some pointers to help you get started.  Please note due to liability considerations only gym-approved instructors are permitted to give group climbing instruction.

How to find us: we usually warm up on the wall facing the drinking fountain or the gym office from 6-6:30pm.

Time: The event is scheduled for 6pm-8pm but feel free to come early and stay longer.  Most of us end at 8pm and go for post-climb drinks in the neighborhood.

Costs: Mention 20/30 meetup to receive group discount

- Day pass: $9.60 (Reg. $12)
- Climb shoes rental: $4

Address:

The Circuit Bouldering gym
410 NE 17th Ave
Portland, Oregon 97232
phone:[masked]

I can't make it because I will be working, but if you guys need a new drinks and food spot, I would be happy to reserve seats and keep El Cubo de Cuba open late if you wanted. Let me know... If not this time, soon!

Per people's request, there is a change of scenery this time for the after climbing food and drinks. We are going to LUCKY LAB (only 2 minutes further). There is no reservations but , they have a large party room we can utilize, so everyone can just head inside there.

    8pm:
    Lucky Lab

Would everyone prefer this over Green Dragon, or a every other time switch off kind of deal?

I'll be wearing an orange Oregon State base layer or t-shirt, come find me and I'll introduce you to our organizer, Viet, and the regulars.

Do I need to being any gear or anything? I'm new to all of this, and climbing.... So I'm not exactly sure what I'm getting into lol. What all do I need to bring and how much money should I expect to spend?

we usually start and stay next to the wall next to the water fountain for about half an hour to 45min before wandering off somewhere else in the gym. Hope to see you both there!

Cool Neil I'll be there a little early - I'll be the guy with curly long hair and a faux alligator skin chalk bag.

If anyone has questions or is new to climbing I am more than willing to help out. I'll be there the whole time, just look for the guy with the yellow monster chalk bag!
