Updated 3/20/19: Hi all! I’m so very sorry, but I completely messed up and left the RSVP limit for this event too high. The restaurants are simply not accepting parties of higher than 18, and I’m being told even that is a stretch. I have to limit brunches to about 16 people moving forward. So so so sorry about this! Also, the Broadway location said they simply couldn’t have a group as large as 18, but the J St. location said they’d take us.

However, we WILL be served FAMILY STYLE. (This is their policy for all groups of 8 or more.) More information here:

I will post details as we get closer to the date as always. If you end up on the wait list, please be sure to check the day of the event to see if you're OFF the wait list! (People often wake up on Sunday morning and change their mind about coming to brunch!) We missed some of your beautiful brunch faces in March, and we love having everyone there!

"We shop at local farmers’ markets and try to source as much as possible from local farms and vendors. We also choose humanely raised, sustainable meat providers like Beeler’s and Storm Hill Ranch for our pork and beef products. Our menus are determined what is seasonally available (yes, that might mean no tomatoes in winter :)

bacon & butter is run by our Executive Chef and owner, Billy Zoellin. Chef Zoellin, who has been featured on the Food Network, studied culinary arts at American River College and trained under some of the finest chefs in the Sacramento area before opening his own restaurant in midtown in 2012 and then moving the restaurant home to the Tahoe Park neighborhood of Sacramento in October of 2014.

about the bacon & butter name
We’re often asked: “Since your name is bacon & butter, does that mean that everything on the menu has bacon and/or butter in it?”

The short answer is no, our chef prepares a wide variety of dishes for our changing menu, including some vegetarian and lighter plates :)

The restaurant name actually came from idea that if you do something really well, it’s called your “bread and butter”.

So when brainstorming names for his new restaurant, Chef and Owner Billy Zoellin wanted to improve on that and thought what’s even better than “bread and butter”: bacon & butter"
