Capital Crescent Bike and Brunch

The weather is still magnificent so lets use it while we can. The plan is to ride from the Jefferson memorial to Georgetown where Capital Crescent starts and all the way up to Bethesda Row from there, brunch, then coast down the Rock Creek Park back into the city.  It will be good times. Be prompt! We will head out at 10:30 sharp!

RSVP and the Waitlist

To help keep the group manageable for both Organizers and restaurants, the ride is limited to 10 people.  Please be sure to update your RSVP if plans change and you cannot attend so that folks on the waitlist can confirm their spot prior to the day of the ride.

Things to bring:

1. A helmet.  You will not be allowed to participate without one.

2.  A lock for your bike. The best way to avoid your bike getting stolen is to use a U-lock.

3.  Cash.  It makes paying the check so much easier.

Note: As cycling is an inherently high-risk activity, you will be expected to sign a waiver of liability to participate.

Unfortunately the Marine Corp marathon has blocked off my parking area. Been driving around looking for an alternative spot but it is now 10:25. Sorry I missed you all.

sorry to hear amber. i have to admit i did not expect them to be such a drag on everyone outside the city. ill try to set another ride before it gets *too* cold.

Though a little cold and dark in the beginning, the sun came out around lunch time and it was a gorgeous day for a ride downhill.

    Can't make it this Sunday.

Also, just noticed that the planning cycling route may be blocked by the MCM.

yo david i am sorry you cant make it. actually we have had this happen before with some other fun runners during the summer. even though they have the trail, they still have to share it with regular pedestrians so it is still a solid ride for us. hope to see you next time!
