Paint Branch Stream Cleanup -- UMD
Saturday, November 20 · 10:00am - 1:00pm

Acredale Park
4300 Metzerott Road
College Park, MD

This stream flows right next to the University of Maryland's College Park campus, and is a feeder for the Anacostia River. Help us stop trash from flowing into the Anacostia and Chesapeake Bay!

Meet in the Acredale Park parking lot (first lot of the left after you turn onto Metzerott Rd from Route 1). Dress for cold weather and mud (long pants, sturdy shoes, etc). Cleanup supplies and snacks provided.

This cleanup is in partnership with the Anacostia Watershed Society.

Cold Water Cleanup & Holiday Paddle
Saturday, December 4 · 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Gangplank Marina
600 Water St SW
Washingon, DC

Give back to the river this holiday season! Join the DC Chapter of Surfrider and the DC Dragon Boat Club for a cold water cleanup along DC's SW Waterfront.

Enjoy a free Dragon Boat Demo, and participate in our cookie exchange! We'll also be collecting canned food for the Capital Area Food Bank. Afterwords, warm up and grab a drink at the Cantina Marina Cafe before heading home.

Meet at Gangplank Marina. Dress warmly and for being on the water! Hot coffee, snacks, and cleanup supplies provided.
