Building a render farm.
by Rob Bruce

Render farms are basically networked computers dedicated to high-speed rendering of computer graphics images. I've personally built a render farm render farm in 2012. I'm happy to share details on how to build, configure, network your own computers into a network. This topic can be a series with an introduction / overview followed by more advanced topics such as should you implement GPUs, fileserver configuration, operating system configuration, etc. Other topics addressing render farms can be addressed based on your feedback.

Introduction to Blender for 3D animation

Blender is open-source and freely available for use. It can be very powerful for visual effects. Blender in itself is a huge topic so this could be broken into sub-topics such as introduction along with advanced topics such as using Blender for water or particle simulation. If you are interested, please indicate what you'd like to learn about Blender.

I have one Blender expert who has already indicated he'd be happy to speak about Blender.

Rigging tips and tricks. I've learned some tips and tricks as a former rigger/enveloper at Industrial Light + Magic. Perhaps you know some tips and tricks as well? Is this a topic we should explore more?
