Come and meet Troy Peterson of BJB Enterprises Inc. in Orange County. Troy will show us how to increase the usefulness of your 3D printer with molding techniques. With so many different materials readily available from BJB (right here in your own backyard), the possibilities are endless. At this meetup you will see hundreds of samples, such as:
* clear shiny parts that look like glass
* hard production quality parts resembling ABS
* softer silicone
* foam samples and much, much, more
Need a short run of plastic parts for a nice smooth finished product? BJB molding products may be the answer- so say goodbye to expensive plastic injection metal molds that can cost upward of $40,000 and make your short run of 100's of parts with these molding techniques instead.
Come prepared to become completely inspired!
Now is your chance to see the most 3D printers running under one roof! Airwolf 3D is working with Robohand to create a unique way to help out those in need this holiday season. We are making history as part of the world’s largest 3D printer farm (http://airwolf3d.com/2014/12/02/3d-printer-farm-flash-print/) and changing lives with the first ever international Flash Print (http://airwolf3d.com/2014/12/02/3d-printer-farm-flash-print/)!
WHAT IS ROBOHAND?
Robohand US is an Atlanta based organization that produces affordable prosthetics for people in need. Originally created by Richard Van As and Ivan Owen, the charity has outfitted hundreds of people with 3D printed prosthetic hands, fingers, and limbs. We want to help raise that number.
COME ON BY AND CHECK IT OUT
Participate: Bring your 3D printer (http://airwolf3d.com/rsvpmaker/rsvp-for-largest-3d-printer-farm-2014-12-13/) by our Costa Mesa headquarters at noon on Saturday, December 13 and 3D print a Robohand with us! All of our 100 in-house printers will be cranking out Robohands, and we want you to join in! Be a part of a record breaking 3D printer farm and help out a good cause! If you are bringing a 3D printer, please let us know here: RSVP (http://airwolf3d.com/rsvpmaker/rsvp-for-largest-3d-printer-farm-2014-12-13/)
Don't have a 3D printer? That's okay, come and see it for yourself at 5:30 PM and join in the final count down. We will have music, guest speakers, and refreshments. Learn more about this event here (http://airwolf3d.com/2014/12/02/3d-printer-farm-flash-print/).
We are organizing a large event on Nov. 8 2014 that all 3D printing enthusiasts can be excited about and benefit from.
I would like to personally invite all members to check out the event website (www.socalmakercon.com) to learn about all the different opportunities for participation: i.e. attendee, exhibitor, speaker etc.
Please contact me with any questions about this and it would be great if the event could be posted on the group calendar.
Thanks for your consideration
