3D Designing with Fusion 360

This is a 3 week course / 3 hours per week held on Fridays

3D Printing Studios launch its new training course for users that have a basic knowledge of 3D Printing and are ready for the next step.

Fusion 360 is an online software that lets you bring your ideas to life and we offer you the opportunity to learn this design software.
Get hands on experience with 3D design software and 3D printers and see how these amazing new technologies are changing the way we design and produce prototypes, models and parts for a wide range of industries. This is a 3 weeks instructor led course which will culminate in you producing a self-designed prototype.
What you need: Laptop and mouse, please register and download Autodesk Fusion 360 from (https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/students-teachers-educators). After registering you need to install Fusion 360.

Cost: $150

Duration: 3 week course, 3 hours per session (On Friday 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm)

Class Size: 6 people.

Dates: 15th February - 1st March, 2019 - 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Course Outline:
Week 1: Sketching in 2D and techniques

Intro to 3D Printing, Sketching with Fusion 360, techniques and hands-on exercises.

Note: Every 3D design has been originated from a 2D sketch. This week the training will be focused on understanding and learning the techniques to build the base of the 3D model.

Week 2: Solid Modelling with Fusion 360

From sketch to 3D design in Fusion 360 and hands-on exercises. 3D Modelling techniques in Fusion 360 and hands-on exercises.

Note: Once you have practiced and have the basic knowledge about sketching, the next step is to turn the 2D drawings into 3D designs. This week you can learn important techniques that can help you to get a good quality 3D solid object.

Week 3: Designing and printing your ideas

How to design for printing in 3D and how to prepare your 3D models. Bringing your idea to life.

Note: Some 3D designs could present issues when you are trying to print them. In order to avoid problems with your final prints this week we show you what you need to take into account and how to generate your 3D model to be printable. Finally you can design one model and we will bring your design to life.
