The Boundary are coming to New York City! The rumors are true... The Boundary have established a new office here in Manhattan and to celebrate, Peter Guthrie and Henry Goss are going to headline the next 3ds NYC event on Wednesday the 11th of September. These guys have been at the absolute forefront of the industry for years now so you really don't want to miss this chance to hear what's been happening at one of the worlds leading visualization studios. ___________________ If one big name wasnt enough- How about we add SHoP Architects into the mix?! SHoP's interdisciplinary staff is proving—at sites around the world—that intelligent, evocative design can be made with real-world constraints. We're going to hear from Mengyi Fan (One of 3ds NYC's biggest supporters) about how her visualization team at SHoP contribute to the incredible success of this world leading architectural studio. ___________________ Lastly, your usual host returns (Audible groan from the audience), so you have that to look forward to ;) RSVP RIGHT HERE! THERE WILL BE PRIZES BUT ONLY IF YOU R-S-V-P! Same time and place as usual- Lucky Jack's NYC at 7pm on Wednesday 11th September.

3ds NYC! We've had two incredibly successful events already and if this line up is anything to go by, we're on to make it 3 for 3! We'll have all the usual industry happenings (jobs, events, news) followed by three inspiring talks from... another a_r_t_i_s_t (aka Johnny Hodgkins) will showcase his wide ranging creative work that covers the gamut from music videos and art installations to product illustration. CookFox Architects will be there showing us all why they have one of the best in-house v-teams in the business. Demonstrating the value that they bring to one of the most rapidly growing (in size and reputation) architecture firms in NYC. And finally, Neoscape NY's Ryan Cohen will show us all some of the latest and greatest work to come out of one of the stalwarts of the viz community. Not to be missed. Following the talks will be a chance to mingle/network and sink a few cold ones with your new friends in the industry. RSVP! THERE BE PRIZES! Sponsored by SiNi Software and Creative Lighting.

We're pleased to announce the speakers are booked for the next meetup on July 10th. See below for details; Presentations: Michelle Obayda and Rory Jarell from Visualhouse are presenting the studios latest architectural visualization work. They will show us how VR is becoming a bigger part of their work and how they are integrating it in really exciting ways. https://visualhouse.co/ Alex Duncan of Looking Glass Factory will talk about what the Looking Glass is and what the team behind it hopes it will bring to 3D creators. The Looking Glass is a unique display in that it visualizes digital content in true 3D without the need of headgear or other wearables, made for 3D creators by 3D creators. Rather than attempting to immerse people in a 3D space, we want to bring 3D out into the real world, the advantage being that 3D content becomes viewable, without friction, by multiple people. https://lookingglassfactory.com/ Alex Coulombe from Agile Lens: Immersive Design will present the future of XR (Extended Reality). Alex is a recognized thought leader in the world of alternate realities. https://www.agilelens.com/ Hire or be hired If you have jobs on offer that you would like us to publish, please post these to the meetup group discussions and we’ll be sure to share. Industry News If you have any news you wish us to discuss at the start of the evening, please get in touch before the meetup. Sponsors: Creative Lighting, https://www.creativelighting.co/ SiNi Software, https://www.sinisoftware.net/ Who should attend; Everyone interested in architectural visualization, visual effects, 3D design, immersive VR, advertising CGI and animation. If you would like to present at 3ds New York please get in touch to discuss opportunities.

I’m delighted to say that we can now announce the full line up of speakers for the first 3ds New York meetup! Kim Lee of FuseFX will be our first presenter- something that we think is quite appropriate given Kim’s long involvement in organising great community events through the 3ds Max user group of which he is a co-founder. Kim’s talk “Applying Your CG Skills to Life” will touch a little on his involvement in the community, a little on his work at FuseFX and a little on something completely different! ⁣——— Nikos Nikolopoulos of Creative Lighting is a visual storyteller who loves teaching and lighting. His unique cinematic approach to lighting is shared in the CGI community all over the world. Nikos will give a talk that will inspire you to see the light from a new perspective. He will share with us his creative approach to using light, shadow, and mood to tell his stories. ⁣——— Finally, We are thrilled that Gabor Cseh of DBOX will present. The topic of the talk: `Forget what you know` - changing perceptions, redefining ideas through visual storytelling. Having DBOX, one of the true originals in the world of Arch Viz, join us and support us at this first event is really fantastic. I hope that you’ll all agree that this is a fantastic line up to kick us off (and sets the bar very high for future events as we move forward!). I can’t wait to see you all there and to hear from these amazing speakers. RSVP to this event on the Meetup page! ⁣We look forward to seeing you on June 12th.⁣ ⁣——————————————⁣
