Old Joburgers will remember Maggie's Farm as the home of the famous chicken pie. Back in the day we used to take a nice drive out into the country to munch a delicious chicken pie at the tea garden while we watched the ducks bounce in and out of the water, before returning home with a whole bag of them for the freezer. So these days they have expanded their menu to an a la carte choice of meals, including things like pizzas. And they have a liquor licence.The venue now also offers a farmstall with baked goods to die for, a pottery studio, fun things for the kids, and live music on certain Saturdays. All this adds to the relaxed and tranquil country atmosphere.
