QiGong For Seniors

This qigong class is held every Friday at The Colonial Club in Sun Prairie. Although it's called QiGong For Seniors, it really can be for anyone who would like a gentle movement practice that can be done standing, sitting, or moving between the two. Membership at the club is not required. As with all qigong, we do breath work, gentle movements and some balance work. Qigong has been shown to both relax and energize body and mind. Although it has some things in common with Tai Chi, it is easier to learn and do and has health rather than Martial Arts as its goal. Often, when you see those lovely photos of elderly Chinese doing "tai chi," what they are really doing is QiGong! (This has members who attend not from meetup so even if it looks like no one has signed up, please come join us.)
