Downtown Ultimate Frisbee

  • American Legion Mall

    600 N Meridian St
(corner of North Ave. and Meridian St.)

  • Come play Ultimate Frisbee downtown!  Newbies and returning players welcome. Casual, play at your own pace.  A stall count of 10 will be ok.  I like a little competitive spirit, but please keep things fun and casual.  Some have never played this wonderful wonderful game.

Sun, fresh air, friends, and a gravity defying disc.

    Notes:

Courtesy: please keep in mind that meetup is a voluntary community.  If we want to have fun week after week, we must be courteous, respectful, and sportsmanlike to others.  I rely on the group's best judgement and actions to ensure that our games continue to be fun.

Injuries: injuries are uncommon and most people play week after week without issues; however, some has happened.  Stretching has been effective for us to prevent injuries.  Ankles and feet seem to take the most punishment, lots of twists and turns.  Collisions with other people can happen.  Please take care not to collide with others and also yell "man on!" when you see a possible collision. Other minor injuries include bruised fingers and hands from catching a hard plastic disc.  So please be mindful of how you play and we'll keep the injury list low!

Security: we've had two incidents where personal items were taken (then recovered).  For this particular location, I strongly recommend putting personal items at the bottom of the banks of the field.  That way, everyone can keep an eye on it.
