Movie 'Being in Heaven' + discussion

Details

An Australian movie, or Australia features prominently! If you've heard of personal development author (‘Absolute Happiness’) and worldwide seminar presenter Michael Domeyko Rowland (of Byron Bay), he's in this fictional-but-true movie. He wrote, directed and acted in ‘Being in Heaven’, which had national exhibition with Palace Cinemas and was distributed globally by the Spiritual Cinema Circle.

The plotline: Hedge trader (Daniel Whyte of Neighbours fame) loses everything in the financial crash. He returns home to Sydney to rebuild his life and takes a casual job writing articles for a magazine. His first gig is interviewing a mysterious writer (Michael Rowland) who takes him on an inner journey into his past, reveals to him the driving forces that caused his losses, and the way to transform his life. Then, in a stunning twist of fate, Jason is transported through time and realises that his life can be anything he makes it, now that he has been given the tools.

With echoes of 'The Secret,' the film publicity material says ---

  • "you will be drawn into a far deeper understanding of how you have created your life so far, and what you can do to change anything.
  • you will also learn how to give yourself for a more fulfilling and deeper experience of living and awaken to states of ecstasy and bliss, that you never knew existed."

Michael Domekyo Rowland unexpectedly passed away on January 16, 2019. Just as a point of information (I don't know much about his perspective), there is some interesting material on his Facebook page with his wife. It's called Paulina & Michael Domeyko Rowland
And there seems to be lots on Facebook, such as 'Ideas about the Kingdom of Heaven | Consciousness and Personal Development.' Again, solely as a point of information, not endorsement.

Simple snacks for sharing appreciated from regulars, but not necessary. $4-5 donation keeps us solvent, but again just do what you can.
