What we’re about

Kia ora and welcome to the Auckland Voice & A capella Singing Workshop series

Based on Sonia's experience in Acapella singing, world music, sound healing and physical theatre, the aim of this beginner-friendly workshop series will be to introduce students to new tools for accessing their own creativity through voice, body and song, increasing self-confidence, listening and expressive skills, improving vocal agility, learning to improvise and aspects of storytelling.

Through a guided process of creative group exploration, participants will be encouraged to strengthen their physical and spatial awareness and connection, as well as learning about the voice, singing, world music and harmony.

Dates of the workshops in this 6 workshop series:
soon to be confirmed.

It is not a requirement to attend all the workshops, though we (unsurprisingly) recommend attending as many of the workshops as you can to gain a broad range of insights as each one will feature different tools and musical repertoire.

This workshop series is open to students at every level of musical experience.

Places are limited to 25 and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Cost for participants: $40/session or $30/session for those attending 3 or more of the 6 sessions.

Please pay for each session online up until the day before each workshop session (you are welcome to pay for them in bulk if you prefer) to complete your booking for that session. Payment info is below:
