What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
A place to gather, share ideas and read A Course in Miracles together. All are welcome to attend. Whether new to the Course or a long time student, if the message of A Course in Miracles resonates with you, already you have, on some level, answered the call of the Holy Spirit to return to where you have always been. There is only one problem (separation) and the one solution is forgiveness. If you are unable to come to my house for the meeting, attending via Skype is now an option. After reading the Text a number of times together, we have decided to spend our time reading the 365 lessons, reflecting on and discussing their content, using both the text portion of 'A Course in Miracles' itself, and Ken Wapnick's 'Journey Through the Workbook of a Course in Miracles' as our guide. As the Course tells us, the goal of the curriculum is to learn forgiveness in order to heal our minds of our mistaken beliefs. The text lays the theoretical foundation to accomplish this, and the practical application of the lessons in our daily lives make attainment of the goal possible. We have now moved our gathering inside, since fall is definitely in the air, and it is getting darker much earlier these days. We started our study of the workbook lessons on Sept[masked]. My intention is to add a synopsis of each gathering on the message board here at Meet Up so everyone will be able to see our progress through the workbook. We are a casual, friendly bunch, and we hope you will join us on the journey.
Join us for A Course in Miracles over warm coffee and teas, happy and gentle talks about using the principles and concepts the Course presents and living them in our every day lives. Bring your book, and your self. We'll begin with Quiet Time, a brief check in, a reading or listening from the Course....and then a discussion: How do we and how can we use course principles and concepts in our daily lives. An opportunity to learn from each other. This is a drop-in gathering. A $5 donation is appreciated but not mandatory.
We get together to read briefly the text and lessons in "A Course In Miracles," and then discuss them as a group. We often have a prayer or meditation; learning to listen to our "Guide", rather than listening to the "self" we have made. All are welcome to join in a relaxed and sharing environment.
