What we're about

A Course in Miracles (ACIM) is an educational program for retraining the mind that is spiritual, rather than religious, in its perspective. It is a self-study program of spiritual psychotherapy used to heal yourself and others.

These ongoing classes are designed to help you to experience the lessons and wisdom of ACIM, a course in alignment with the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, Oprah Winfrey, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, and Marianne Williamson.

Each class involves a brief meditation/ spiritual reading practice, reading/ listening to ACIM text, completing lessons in the workbook, and sharing/ discussion. Our primary goal is to re-train our mind/eyes to see the world without judgment, and learn to communicate with the spirit.

This is a serious but FUN study group. Students of all experience levels and backgrounds are welcome!

We will journey together through the readings and the lessons in the workbook, as a group, in person, or via Zoom.

AUCKLAND A COURSE IN MIRACLES STUDY GROUP

Two Tales Offices

Hi everyone :) Here we are at Week 54 of our beautiful group: The Lessons we are covering this week are: LESSON 306 The gift of Christ is all I seek today. W-306.1. What but Christ’s vision would I use today, when it can offer me a day in which I see a world so like to Heaven that an ancient memory returns to me? 2 Today I can forget the world I made. 3 Today I can go past all fear, and be restored to love and holiness and peace. 4 Today I am redeemed, and born anew into a world of mercy and of care; of loving kindness and the peace of God. LESSON 307 Conflicting wishes cannot be my will. W-307.1. Father, Your Will is mine, and only that. 2 There is no other will for me to have. 3 Let me not try to make another will, for it is senseless and will cause me pain. 4 Your Will alone can bring me happiness, and only Yours exists. 5 If I would have what only You can give, I must accept Your Will for me, and enter into peace where conflict is impossible, Your Son is one with You in being and in will, and nothing contradicts the holy truth that I remain as You created me. LESSON 308 This instant is the only time there is. W-308.1. I have conceived of time in such a way that I defeat my aim. 2 If I elect to reach past time to timelessness, I must change my perception of what time is for. 3 Time’s purpose cannot be to keep the past and future one. 4 The only interval in which I can be saved from time is now. 5 For in this instant has forgiveness come to set me free. 6 The birth of Christ is now, without a past or future. 7 He has come to give His present blessing to the world, restoring it to timelessness and love. 8 And love is ever-present, here and now. LESSON 309 I will not fear to look within today. W-309.1. Within me is eternal innocence, because it is God’s Will that it be there forever and forever. 2 I, His Son, whose will is limitless as is His Own, can will no change in this. 3 For to deny my Father’s Will is to deny my own. 4 To look within is but to find my will as God created it, and as it is. 5 I fear to look within because I think I made another will that is not true, and made it real. 6 Yet it has no effects. 7 Within me is the Holiness of God. 8 Within me is the memory of Him. An Excerpt from The Manual for Teachers 4. WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD’S TEACHERS? X. Open-Mindedness M-4.X.1. The centrality of open-mindedness, perhaps the last of the attributes the teacher of God acquires, is easily understood when its relation to forgiveness is recognized. 2 Open-mindedness comes with lack of judgment. 3 As judgment shuts the mind against God’s Teacher, so open-mindedness invites Him to come in. 4 As condemnation judges the Son of God as evil, so open-mindedness permits him to be judged by the Voice for God on His behalf. 5 As the projection of guilt upon him would send him to hell, so open-mindedness lets Christ’s image be extended to him. 6 Only the open-minded can be at peace, for they alone see reason for it. M-4.X.2. How do the open-minded forgive? 2 They have let go all things that would prevent forgiveness. 3 They have in truth abandoned the world, and let it be restored to them in newness and in joy so glorious they could never have conceived of such a change. 4 Nothing is now as it was formerly. 5 Nothing but sparkles now which seemed so dull and lifeless before. 6 And above all are all things welcoming, for threat is gone. 7 No clouds remain to hide the face of Christ. 8 Now is the goal achieved. 9 Forgiveness is the final goal of the curriculum. 10 It paves the way for what goes far beyond all learning. 11 The curriculum makes no effort to exceed its legitimate goal. 12 Forgiveness is its single aim, at which all learning ultimately converges. 13 It is indeed enough. Don't forget to RSVP! Peace & Love to you all :)
