This group is created to foster an extended community among the parents of the children currently enrolled in ALPoE. Joining this group is strictly optional for all parents. Family Field Trips and all other events are optional and NOT a part of A Little Patch of Earth curriculum. We encourage you to enrich the beautiful work each of you are doing in your family by getting to know each other through events, considering carpooling, getting together before of after an event to share a meal, or even creating an outing that you think our learning community might enjoy. ALPoE educators do not often attend these weekend outings due to other commitments so we invite families to leave comments with your contact information so others can find you at each event.
ALPoE has two parent coordinators each year. This year we are grateful for Cynthia (Whitley's Mama) and Kerry (Caroline's Mama). Their focus will be to post as much event information at least one month in advance and to offer one parent volunteer contact for each event as a point of contact for you in the event you are lost, late or if there is a last minute change to the venue. Please consider offering yourself as a parent volunteer contact one time this year!
ALPoE will also use MeetUp to announce other seasonal events such as Winter Solstice, Spring Fling Camping, and Family WorkDay! These events each have their own coordinators and are not part of the ALPoE Field Trip Program.
