A Place Called Home (APCH) is a place filled with caring staff, supporters and volunteers that come together to provide South Central, Los Angeles children and teens 8 years old – 21 an opportunity for them to grow academically and emotionally in hopes of guiding them to a higher, brighter quality future where they can define themselves instead of negative environmental influences defining who they are. "Home" means so much to so many. It’s a place where we feel safe… where we can be ourselves… where we can be with our friends, family, and loved ones. Most of all, home is where a community comes together. Home is where the heart is. APCH is constantly looking for more volunteers to join the task force in helping the youth of South Central. At APCH, there are many departments and services that can use that additional help. Here, we are not just a group, not just a team, we are a family. Join this family and make this place a better home for our youth; A Place Called Home -- where growth starts and empowerment will always be.
