Its the end of the world and we want to sing! Masks are required for this meetup, and there will be max of 10 in a room. Karaoke Melody also boasts probably the most extensive song list of any of the places in Atlanta. Even if it's an obscure song from the 80's or a no-so-popular show tune, an international language song, or a latest top 40 hit song, it's very likely that they will have it on their list. So come on down and give it a try, no judgement here! Keep in mind that Karaoke Melody charges $7 per person per hour, not by the room, so it is very important to check in at the bar when you arrive and pay for your time when you leave. Most meetups last about 3 hours, so figure $18-$24 if you stay the whole time. Again, every person that attends is responsible for paying for their time in the room, so if you do leave early or arrive late please keep track of it so you know what you owe at the end of the night. Also, please RSVP Yes only if you can attend as we cannot keep a room if there are too few of us. The song queue can be reordered using the room's iPad, so everyone will get a chance to sing. However, the queue only holds a maximum of 20 songs, so please be considerate and only put in 1 or 2 songs before you sing so others have a chance to sing within a reasonable period of time.

While not a karaoke MeetUp, here is an opportunity to rest your voice and see gifted singer, songwriter and musician Alicia Keys as she brings her tour to Atlanta in July 2021 to the Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park. I am going to be present to see this multi-talented performer and you are welcome to join me. With global record sales of over 75 million, Alicia Keys is one of the most successful R&B artists of all time. Her distinctive soulful vocal style and tremendous skill as a pianist have brought her monumental accolades not only in her native America, but also the rest of the world. Born in 1981, she began playing piano at the age of seven and by 11 was writing her own songs. At age 20, she catapulted on to the international music scene, where she has been a firm fixture ever since. Throughout her immensely successful career, Keys has won numerous awards. The release of Songs in A Minor contributed to her receiving an incredible five Grammys in 2002, for Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Album and Best New Artist. She repeated this success in 2008, with the album As I Am winning awards for Best R&B Song for “No One” and Best Female R&B Vocal performance. In total, Alicia Keys has won an astonishing 14 Grammys. She was also named by Billboard magazine as their R&B artist of the decade for the period 2000 - 2009.
