Olympic Spirit

Feeling the Post Olympic blues? Even though Karaoke is not a competition, you can still feel like a Olympian, as the spirit of the Olympic games is PARTICIPATION. As long as you give it your best and participate, you can be a Karaoke singer! Join us in that same spirit at Karaoke Melody, whether you make the podium or not you still win!

If you would like to join us for dinner next door at Sushi House Hayakawa at 7:00 p.m., please reply to the question that appears when you RSVP. Please provide your phone number so we can contact you to confirm.

Karaoke (at Melody) is $6 per person, per hour. Most meetups last about 3 hours, so figure $20-$25 if you stay the whole time.

The song queue can be reordered using the room's iPad so that everyone will have a chance to sing.

I ended up not going because of the cost: (assuming 10 people showed up) 3 times as much as places like DoReMi or Happy Karaoke. I strongly recommend going to a cheaper place, or perhaps having two meetups a month, one at a cheaper place.

Sorry for this short notice change of plans but Corey is not going to be able to attend this meetup and is usually the host for the dinner. I will be hosting instead, but I would like to go to a different restaurant. Instead of Sushi House Hayakawa, I'm proposing "Man Chun Hong" a Korean-Chinese place that is right in the adjacent shopping mall of Karaoke Melody called "Seoul Plaza". You can read up about it here

Everyone coming to dinner please respond and let me know if this change is OK my number is[masked] 4506.
If not, please feel free to make your own dinner plans and we'll just meet up at Karaoke Melody at 8:30. Thanks!

Korean-Chinese cuisine sounds great! I'll be there with my plus two.
