What we’re about

My name is Steve Mynard and I lead journeys of exploration and discovery into the landscapes of our past. A Walk in the Past (London) is an opportunity for me to share my passion for walking and for history with like-minded people. It is also a powerful reason for me to reacquaint myself with the numerous historic sites of London that I have enjoyed visiting throughout my life.

There is just so much history here! I really enjoy the research that goes into leading historical walks.

I am a qualified Lowland Walk Leader and a qualified Outdoor First Aid Provider.

I have been running A Walk in the Past in Bristol and Bath for the last five years and have put on over 300 events in the South West.

People who join A Walk in the Past like a good walk with interesting people and they like learning more about history. We always stop off somewhere for a picnic or refreshments in a pub or café.

Our walks are between three and four miles in length: generally the term 'amble' covers most of them. There is plenty of time to chat and get to know other walkers.

Come along and Meet Up with us for a journey into London’s historic landscape.
