February 21-24 Hiking & Yoga on Cornwall Coast

  • Feb 21, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Join us for all inclusive Hiking & Yoga 2 or 3 nights trip, with home made food in South-East Cornwall, only 4 hour 15 min drive from Hammersmith.

THIS IS AN OPTIONAL 3 NIGHT TRIP YOU MAY TAKE MONDAY OFF TO ENJOY THE MOST OF IT.

There's so much to do, see and explore in Cornwall. With the longest stretch of continuous coastline in Britain, you’ll discover tiny fishing villages, smuggler’s coves, countless spectacular beaches and sweeping bays, dramatic cliffs and coastlines, plus beautiful moorland and countryside.

Here is a lovely video which shows it all!

Cornwall's beaches are unrivalled elsewhere in Britain for their beauty and variety even in winter.

Hiking and Yoga is a great combination, we have had a few weekends in the past and they proved to be very popular.

We will be based near Fowey, which is situated on the west bank of the River Fowey on the south coast of Cornwall between Looe and Mevagissey. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Fowey has a unique charm which holds a special fascination for visitors of all ages.

There are many lovely walks around the Fowey Estuary with its quiet waters, green woodland and mass of wildlife which can be enjoyed all the year round. In fact, more and more people are coming to the Estuary out of the main season to experience the more rugged aspect of Cornwall. The sight of the river when the winter gales are raging can be quite spectacular and perhaps, at times, a little too exciting for the competitive sailors.

The village of Polperro squeezes down the valley to a small harbour where tiny fisherman’s cottages and sail lofts hang off the rocks. Mercifully free of traffic (there is a tram for those who want to arrive in style) you can wander through the streets and browse the shops that major in locally made handicrafts and confectionery.

Although these days Polperro only has a fleet of fourteen fishing boats the village is famous for its seafood, so sit on the harbour and enjoy a fresh crab sandwich from one of the nearby cafes.

We may visit Polperro Model Village, unlike many model villages, here you will see the reproduction of the actual village of Polperro reduced to scale, which enables you to appreciate an arial view of this beautiful and quaint ancient fishing village.

Yoga can be fun and a very beneficial physical and mental work out.

Any level is welcome, classes will be tailored and suitable for the beginners and the advanced yoga practitioners as well.

Maintaining a supple body and peaceful mind is essential for our well being.

All classes are tailor made and with particular emphasis on strengthening and awakening the body in the morning.

In the evening we will focus more on balance in the postures and we will treat our body to 15 minutes of total relaxation.

“Health is wealth, peace of mind is happiness, yoga shows the way.”

With an excellent location and great coastal walks this is the weekend for anybody willing to relax and recharge!
