We usually have 3 hike leaders on each trip and 3 organised hikes/walks on every day with different length and pace, members may choose their routes according to their fitness and abilities.
They will be challenging enough or relaxing if you wish. The routes are confirmed in the morning on a day, taking the latest weather broadcast into consideration.
The hills, rolling farmland, woods and river valleys of this varied and special landscape are rich in geology and wildlife and ingrained with heritage. Off the beaten track and tranquil, this is a living, working place, loved by locals and visitors alike for its quality of the environment, for walking (http://www.shropshirehillsaonb.co.uk/things-to-do/walking/) and activities (http://www.shropshirehillsaonb.co.uk/things-to-do/) of all levels, and for relaxation and inspiration.
Whatever your preference, from a short amble to a good long stomp, the paths and open spaces of the Shropshire Hills will take you along river valleys, through pastures, meadows and ancient woodlands, around pretty villages, or over hilltops of rock and heather. You can follow the bounds of the old Mercian kingdom, the footsteps of ancient drovers and take in views from Iron Age hillforts.
Hiking and Yoga is a great combination, we have had a few weekends in the past and they proved to be very popular.
Yoga can be fun and very beneficial physical and mental work out.
Any level is welcome, classes will be tailored and suitable for the beginners and the advanced yoga practitioners as well.
Maintaining a supple body and peaceful mind is essential for our well being.
WE WILL HAVE 2 YOGA INSTRUCTORS ON THIS TRIP TO BE ABLE TO SPREAD GROUP INTO 2 IN TWO DIFFERENT ROOMS.

All classes are tailor-made and with particular emphasis on strengthening and awakening the body in the morning.
In the evening we will focus more on balance in the postures and we will treat our body to 15 minutes of total relaxation.

Yoga sessions will take place in the morning and afternoon/evening.
With an excellent location and great walks, this is the weekend for anybody willing to relax and recharge!
For those who would like to do more Yoga and never have enough of Yoga, we have something extra to offer: a yogalicous yoga workshop!
We have our member - Taras on this trip. He is a professional massage therapist.
Taras did the Acupressure Massage Course and spent 11 weeks in Thailand studying Thai Massage which is the great accompaniment of Yoga practice. Through the therapist movements, the patient can become more balanced, flexible and deal with health issues.
Now Taras teaches Yoga classes and works as the massage therapist, trying to connect Yoga Practice with Deep Thai Massage Stretching to help clients become more steady in postures.
He is offering 30 minutes session of back or legs massage for £25 and 60 minutes full body massage session for £40.
We rented privately YHA hostel for 2 nights just for our group.
This wonderful Victorian building with modern facilities is a groups-only hostel set in the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, an area steeped in industrial history with 10 museums to explore. It is ideal for activity breaks, we can take a canoe onto the River Severn or explore the Shropshire countryside.
All beds arranged in 5x4 and 3x6 bedrooms. MOST ROOMS ARE EN-SUITE.
2 bedrooms are with showers. There are EXTRA 4 toilets and 2 showers in a corridor.
All bed linen is provided.

There will be a minimum of three very capable hike leaders on this weekend, both with extensive navigational and leading experience and trained in wilderness first aid.
The choice of hikes will differ in distance and toughness and we usually aim to have no more than 16 people per hike. This ensures that the groups are not left waiting for long periods whilst the 30th person catches up.
AAA food quality has become well known within the Hiking Meetup community. We typically greet you with a warm soup supper with cold meats and bread on your arrival on Friday night topped off with a large homemade cake.
You can enjoy Misha’s famous hearty porridge with fruits, nuts and honey both mornings topped off by a cooked breakfast, freshly brewed coffee and juice.
We believe your packed lunch is a personal affair and we provide you with all the ingredients for you to make up your own sandwiches, so if you want to make your own peanut butter and banana sandwiches here’s your chance. Fruit, crisps and biscuit snacks are also available.
After returning from your hike scones, jam and clotted cream are available with your afternoon tea. However, some hikes might, if the opportunity arises to go the cream teas and pop into a local country pub before returning.
Saturday dinner is a group event; members will help with some of the preparation whilst reflecting on the day’s scenery. Dinner is usually served at 8 pm and includes a wide selection of salads with meat and a vegetarian dish.
If you have any special diet requirements please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate your needs.
You will need to bring your own alcoholic drinks in advance, as AAA LG is not licenced to sell alcohol.
There is no need for additional expense or travel for a meal out at a local restaurant or pub.
AAA events start and end at the accommodation venue so you will need to arrange your own transport to and from the accommodation.
Members have been organising lift shares within the Meetup group for a long time and AAA have also assisted members to organise getting to the destination.
If you want to lift share we recommend that you post a message on the Meetup “Discussion” page that is specific to this event.
AAA LG takes no responsibility for the lift shares and does not get involved with these private arrangements between members.

8:45 -9 am tidy up a kitchen and a dining room
9-9:20 am all equipped and ready to go gathering for hike briefing
( we usually have 2-3 hikes organised on the same day for you to choose from with different distance and pace to suit you according to your fitness level, abilities and gear.) Hikes are led by experienced leaders/First Aiders.
We can not tell you the hike routes until the morning on a day. All depends on the weather. Safety first!
Hikes may vary from 7 to 16 miles, return at about 4-6 pm

4-6 pm Cream Tea time: some scones, cookies, cakes with tea, coffee, favourite drinks.
