    What we're about

AAUW has been empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881. For more than 130 years, we have worked together as a national grassroots organization to improve the lives of millions of women and their families. AAUW Honolulu focuses on advancing equity for women and girls in Hawaii through providing educational scholarships and leadership development opportunities for members and the community, and advocating for public policies in Hawaii that support the empowerment of women and girls.

    Our signature programs include:
Start Smart: a workshop that teaches college women how to negotiate for their highest salary.
Elect Her: a workshop that teaches college women to run for student government.
Tech Savvy: a day-long STEM conference for 6-9th grade girls and their parents.
