The AAUW Oregon-Washington Joint State Convention is attracting incredible opportunities for you to join 200 other leaders during the last weekend in April to Connect, Collaborate, and Lead. You know you want to!!! Arrive by Friday afternoon to participate in leadership training – Bring Out the Leader in You! -- facilitated by Deepti Gudipati, AAUW Director, Member Leadership Programs. Or take a different journey with an enrichment tour in the local area.

Lilly Ledbetter, the Voice of Pay Equity, will participate in an equal pay panel on Friday evening. Joining her will be moderator Lisa Maatz, AAUW Vice President of Government Relations, and panelists US Senator, Jeff Merkley, State Senator Karen Keiser, and Oregon Labor Commis-sioner Brad Avakian.

After exercise on Saturday morning, enjoy the state’s business meeting. Resolutions will be presented, Counterpart sessions follow the business meeting, and you will have, for the first-time ever, the opportunity to participate with both Oregon and Washington counterparts.

There will be Outstanding Workshops – Bring Out the Leader in You! – two leadership training sessions – with Deepti Gudipati from AAUW; Public Policy with Lisa Maatz; Women in Technology with AAUW Board member Rebecca Norlander; Research with Linda Hallman, AAUW Executive Director; Membership; NCCWSL; Programs in a Box; College/University Relations; $tart $mart.

Beyond the Usual – STEM and Tech Trek Plenary on Sunday morning; Legacy Circle reception on Saturday evening; branch and state officers installed by Linda Hallman, AAUW Executive Director. (The Legacy Circle reception welcomes all Legacy Circle members.)

The Usual and Ever-Popular – There will be a Silent Auction on Saturday with proceeds supporting AAUW Funds; Showcase of Success featuring your branch; AAUW Funds Celebration and Recognition; and a Gala Saturday evening with the Keynote from Linda Hallman.
