Hi all, this is my first book for the club. I am not sure exactly how it works. Should I assume you all finish the book by the above date or is that and initial meeting and you set chapter stopping points for future dates?

Thanks Leah. I'll give it another try. I was also skipping a lot of the fluff - parts that did not seem critical to the plot. Boring!

i am so pleased! i finished spin state! picked it up again monday and read the end. it gave me the curiosity to keep going. also i skipped quite a bit. lots of politics and lots of cloak and dagger but ultimately worth it.

I went to Hastings by chance today and saw you guys. It looked like you were having a good discussion. I've read Ender's game, so I'm set for January, and I'll try to finish this book before the deadline to meet you guys in three weeks.

Looking through past meetups, I read the Snow Child, and I really enjoyed it. I'm still not sure what to make of it, I took it as magical realism. I just wanted to say that for kicks.

Hi Ed! It's a little short notice but you are to have the book read by that date :-)
