ADVAnet with Austin Adobe User Group

Unlike Flash that outputs to a proprietary format (*.swf), Adobe Edge Animate creates content that you can make more accessible using standard web technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery/JavaScript. Learn how to get an “edge” in creating an accessible web site using today’s technologies.

About the Presenter

Cornelius Chopin is currently an Accessibility Specialist at the Texas Department for Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). He received an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) title in Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver and teaches at night at several schools including the Art Institute of Austin. He completed his Master degree in Information Science and Learning Technologies (ISLT) from the Missouri University in December 2012 with emphasis on E-learning and Mobile Application development.

On the second Friday afternoon of each month, ADVAnet joins in with the Austin Adobe User Group (AAUG) for their presentation. To help the New Horizons Computer Learning Center select a room that comfortably seats everyone, AAUG asks that you also use their site to RSVP to this free event.

New Horizons Computer Learning Center is just north of  Highland Mall near I-35 and US 290, at 300 E Highland Mall Blvd., Suite 100. Coming from Airport Blvd, turn onto Highland Mall Blvd, then turn left onto Jonathan, then right at the second entrance into the Visitor parking area. If you're coming from I-35, use the southbound feeder road to get to East Huntland Drive. Go past the car dealerships and turn left onto Jonathan Drive, then turn left, after the car lot, into the Visitor parking area.
