AppSumo deal on WordPress support community ends tonight; and next Monday's meetup topic

From: Fletch Brendan G.

A couple of announcements to make tonight:

First, for those you who work regularly with WordPress, especially if you do professional development, AppSumo has for TONIGHT ONLY an insanely great deal for one year of membership at WPMUdev, described as "everything you could possibly need for the perfect WordPress site, like having your own dedicated WordPress team".

Their premium site provides 125+ premium plugins, 150+ premium themes, 40+ white label videos alongside comprehensive manuals and 24/7/365 forum and live support. Core plugins include ecommerce plugins, MarketPress, and class-leading paid membership plugins, alongside SEO, wiki, chat and directory plugins. Everything you'll ever need for WordPress, Multisite and BuddyPress. They even work to take feature requests you submit to develop plugins for your specific needs.

One year of membership normally costs $588 for a whole year, but the insanely great deal tonight is for only $79 for the year. The great thing about their membership plan is that, if you let your membership go after the year is up, you can still use all the plugins and themes and other stuff you got from them, and you can use them anywhere, on unlimited sites. The deal ends at midnight tonight, so if this can help you in your WordPress work, go hop on it:

The other thing to announce is that, since Christmas is next week, we'll meet Monday afternoon at 12:30pm in South Austin, at Pok-E-Jo's (the barbecue place at the intersection of Capital of Texas Highway and South Lamar, the Brodie Oaks shopping center). The discussion topic for the meeting will be a review of all the logo changes we've seen in 2013, from restaurant chains to corporations to sports teams. We'll have an HDTV I can plug the laptop into so we can share with everyone. If you've seen a logo change, good bad or ugly, you want to share with us, post it in the comments, make a note to bring with you or email me in advance. S

After that we'll have one more meetup in 2013, the end-of-year happy hour social at the Ginger Man on Monday the 30th. Hope to see you guys at one of these last two meetups, or if not, have a happy New Year's and see you in 2014.
