Hey everybody,

I'm going to try and make it a standard thing to post links and items that came up during the meetup. Some people showed off their portfolio sites and hopefully they can post the links to them in this thread too.

On the subject of 3D and After Effects I thought Rustboy was a Very Cool Site:

http://rustboy.com/ru...

That guy decided to make a feature film by himself using only off-the-shelf hardware and software (a Mac, Maya, and After Effects). He's been documenting his progress, explaining his thought processes, and creating tutorials so you can duplicate his work. Very cool stuff.

Spreadshirt (http://www.spreadshir...) is a T-shirt company like Cafe Press where you can design your own shirts to sell/print. [Credit: Aaron]

Donn Lawler, one of our members, is an excellent artist who does a lot of work with 3D. His portfolio site has been offline for some time but his page on DeviantArt is alive and well:

http://oktoberchill.d... - Be sure to check out his gallery.

Of course I'll always take an opportunity to plug our local chapter of AIGA:

http://aigaaustin.org...

The event calendar and job board are always being updated with new items and you don't have to be an AIGA member take advantage of those resources. We provide them free of charge for the local design community. I highly recommend the monthly Hammertime that happens on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

If you have links you want to add to this list, please do so.

Aaron, you had the one site where you were given one image and that was it. I had one of those too, it was Offshore Managers. The site was done about five years ago and they didn't want anything but that shell image on the site.

Does anyone else use del.icio.us? I can't live without it. My design links are here.

One of the best tongue-in-cheeck design blog posts ever:

my del.icio.us page is here ...... http://del.icio.us/aa...
I have not used it much at all but the person who told me about it also says he could not live without it. I have yet to dive into it that deep.

My work is asking me for another 6 page flyer this week so i am keeping busy putting it together. I will have it all completed to show every one at the next meetup...

Does anyone read this message board? besides me and Chat??? if so ... please at lease send a hello.

Till next time..
over and out... theA
