Fence/safety net on top of Kangaroo Point cliffs

Kangaroo Point

"Residents draw to the attention of Brisbane City Council the need to protect rock climbers from debris, rocks, rubbish and other objects thrown at them either intentionally or unintentionally. This is very dangerous and I would like to urge our Council to please fix this serious and ongoing problem for the safety of Brisbane residents who practice the sport of rock climbing in the Kangaroo Point cliffs, as well as visiting climbers from other countries, who regularly climb the cliffs. Your petitioners therefore request that a safety mechanism (fence, safety net, etc.) that prevents vandalism against climbers must be installed on top of the cliffs." Please sign e-petition by visiting this link: https://www.epetitions.brisbane.qld.gov.au/petition/view/pid/687 Thank you :)

**NEW** SOCIAL TRAIL RUN @ NIGHT, MT COOTHA - HONEYEATER AND RESEVOIR TRACK

The original introduction to trail running @ Mt. Cootha. This event has been continuously hosted every Monday since 2014! The continuation of our Monday night runs. These runs occur every Monday night, rain, hail or shine. The good thing about our runs is that they will visit different places all over Mt Cootha. You will get a taste of the various trails it has to offer! You will never get bored! We run rain, hail or shine. So this is a mellow paced 5-8km run on nice smooth trails at Mt Cootha. There maybe a small hill or two but the social nature of the run means no one gets left behind and the run will cater for anyone who has run in the last 6 months. There is a much slower run in Hiking SE Qld if you want to get used to trails first otherwise come along! **Bring a bright head lamp. I use ay ups. For this run a very bright camping light should be OK** **Bring shoes with grip** This is your chance to get back into running without the pressure or anxiety of thinking you are not fit enough. It will start at the same place as the regular 10km run but take a different route. Text me, Andrew, if you are running late or cannot come so we know not to wait for you [[masked]].
